The Journey

Dark roads laid out before me

Tired and lonely that’s what I’ll be

A thousand miles between you and me rolling

Thunder on the blacktop sea

Black as the night that rolling sea

Into the darkness is where I’ll be

Purple waters that swallow me

Forever gone you’ll never find me

I am the gusting wind, I am the blowing breeze

I am the calm you seek, I am the violent sea

I am a life cut short, I am a tragedy

I am reborn to life; I am the journey

Friends and family gather before me

Gone too soon they all  mourn for me

No need for sorrow, don’t pity me

Dry your eyes, I’m finally free.

I am the gusting wind, I am the blowing breeze

I am the calm you seek, I am the violent sea

I am a life cut short, I am a tragedy

I am reborn to life; I am the journey

Rhapsody in Blue

Majestic and strong

Splashes reckless without restraint colors on a canvas

Fluttering hues In Red’s yellows, and greens

Autumn, nature’s perfection I must go

I must stand, I must walk In the center

Crisp autumn mornings swirling around me

Lifting me, hand in hand carrying me away

Light as a feather floating on notes of Gershwin’s

Rhapsody in Blue
